Investment Strategy? Well May We Ask, What Strategy?
In an environment where markets continue to react and where no-one seems to have the answers, there is some comfort to be had in the cyclical nature of things. Pension and superannuation funds are not in the day trading business. Horizons are longer and a steady hand on the tiller, while not necessarily the sexiest position to adopt, often works out more profitably in the long run.
While the rate of growth in developing and emerging markets might fluctuate, there is no doubt that growth will continue. All three of our interviews demonstrate a positive outlook for the emerging markets within the Asia Pacific and all three take a long-term view.
Perhaps it’s time to reset the expectation monitors and look forward to a different set of parameters.
